A Fabric mod that shows a snow layer underneath blocks that have a few snow layers touching them.

This mod does not need to be run server-side so that you can enjoy snow everywhere.

Known issue: Z-fighting #

Snow can flicker along the edges of blocks that aren't full cubes (beds, upside-down stairs, petals, etc.). This is a Minecraft rendering limitation, so there is no perfect fix. Mitigations

• Z-fighting texture pack (included, optional): slightly enlarges the snow model so it sits just outside neighbouring blocks. It also changes the top texture of snowy grass, so enabling it is recommended.
• Block blacklist: exclude problem blocks in the config (via Mod Menu). Pink petals and wildflowers are excluded by default. After changing it, rejoin the world or press F3 + A to refresh.

Not viable: shrinking the model (causes gaps, especially without Sodium), disabling ambient occlusion (flickering remains), and per-block snow models (too much work, breaks mod support and client-side-only).
