An atproto SDK in Rust forked from nel.pet/mycorrhizal

Mycorrizhal #

Mycorrizhal is yet another atproto SDK for Rust. It's the result of a whole bunch of gripes, both major and minor, that I personally have with the existing options. The goal is to have a good API design, good type modeling and integrating well with the Rust ecosystem. Essentially the goal is "correctness" and "being good" as it pertains to my personal flavour of autism ;3

NB #

This is mostly (at least for now) a personal project. It is also very much work in progress. Most stuff is in the beginning design and exploration phase and have been for a while. (Like I said, this is very much me going full autism on caring a lot about the design of something like this). It will likely end up being used in Tranquil as both me and Lewis have had our gripes with the current state of things. But it's likely not something that you will want to use. Not currently at least. Hopefully that changes in the future though!

Project structure #

Mycorrizhal is split up in various crates, each serving a relatively specific purpose:

  • mycorrizhal-model: Core modeling types for working with atproto. Models both the core atproto data model and the extended Lexicon data model/type system.
  • mycorrizhal-lexicon: Builds on mycorrizhal-model to provide functionality for dealing with Lexicon files.
  • mycorrizhal-xrpc: Models XRPC for type safe use with the tower ecosystem. More to come as the goals and my personal needs get fleshed out.

License #

Uhhh TBD ... licensing is hard.
