NixOS and home-manager configuration for the machines in this repo: impish, void, bbox and the work laptop.

Structure #

The repo splits configuration into two parts:

• hosts/ — per-machine configuration
• modules/ — reusable configuration:
  • services/ — service definitions
  • mixins/ — shared dotfiles and user configuration

Usage #

Run commands through just. It wraps the common Nix operations:

# validate the flake
nix flake check

# apply the home-manager configuration
nh home switch "<repo-path>"

# deploy to a remote host
NH_ELEVATION_STRATEGY=none nh os switch . --hostname <host> --target-host root@<host> --build-host root@<host>

# update flake.lock
nix flake update

# clean up the nix store
nix-store --gc
nix-collect-garbage -d
