The node indexes app.bsky.graph.verification records from every repo on the firehose, seeds the history of each trusted verifier (branding key verifierDids) from its repo at boot and hourly, and reports a verified author on chat messages in the app view's own verification shape. Chat rows show the node's badge (uploadable verifiedIcon, default a check in the primary color) for those users, and the network's blue check for users the public app view reports as verified.
