Index data directories #
Each directory here is the data directory one release of vibescrobble-index
wrote, named for the day it was written. It holds the files a deploy keeps
(docs/state.md) and expected.json, which is what the index served from them:
who is held and how they hang together, what each said, every all-time token
total, and each account's weeks. Nothing in it depends on when it is read.
crates/vibescrobble-index/tests/deploy/rollback.rs starts the index on a copy
of each one and asserts it serves expected.json. A directory is never edited
or removed: every later release must read it.
When a change alters what any of these files holds, add the directory the change writes:
VIBESCROBBLE_DATA_DIR=$(date -u +%F) \
cargo test -p vibescrobble-index --test deploy -- --ignored write_
A rollback runs the release before on what this one wrote. The same test file widens each file the way a newer release may without a new format version, and asserts it is read the same.
