# Packwand's Luau stdlib First-party Luau modules (packluau SPEC.md section 8), unlike the rest of `packages/`, which holds vendored third-party source. Each `.luau` here is the module `@pw/`. - `apps/packluau`'s build compiles every module to bytecode with Luau's compiler and embeds it; nothing is read from disk at run time. A module is deserialized on its first `require`. - Every module starts with a `--!pw caps=` header naming the capabilities its code uses. A script that requires it must declare them too. - The build lints every module: no `pairs`, no `next`, and no `for k in t` over a bare table, since their order is the hash table's. Iterate with `pw.sorted` or an API's sorted iterator. - A module returns a table. A module run directly (the stdlib tier) runs its `main(...)`, which returns a `pw.plan` or nothing, as a script does.
