gpui_windows/ is a patched copy of Zed's Windows platform backend, wired in via the [patch."https://github.com/zed-industries/zed"] stanza in the workspace Cargo.toml. It carries the DirectComposition first-present fix for the intermittent transparent-window-on-launch failure; see gpui_windows/LOCAL_PATCHES.md. Re-vendor when bumping the zed rev.
