The raw and the normalised readings are printed side by side, and a gap of more than five points is called out: two readings of the same seven samples came out at 7% and 24%, and the gap was the only thing saying the sample was too small. The end-to-end tests now drive a fake binary under a moving machine factor, so the refusal is checked rather than assumed.
