Configuration #

Every environment variable, its default and who reads it is documented in docs/ENVIRONMENT.md. The ones you must set are PUBLIC_INSTANCE_URL (the backend the browser talks to) and, behind a proxy, ORIGIN plus ADDRESS_HEADER (without the latter every user shares one rate-limit bucket at the backend). .env.prod.example is the production template, deployed by docker-compose.prod.yml + scripts/deploy.sh (runbook: .claude/commands/deploy.md).
